A Journal On Making A Living & Life

The Holidays are Over

Tag:No Tags

Over here in Labuan, we had a long holiday. Starting from Chinese New Year on the 29th of January, the holidays stretched until Thursday 2nd of Febuary. That’s almost a week if one count from Saturday 28th of January. As for the schools, the holidays end today and will resume tomorrow, Monday 6th Febuary. My daughter will go back to school too tomorrow.

Last night I brought her to a lion dance performance which was held in the Financial Park complex. Two teams of lion dance took part in the performance. Judging from the claps and cheers each of the team got, it was a terrific performance. The crowd loved i, so is my daughter and she even requested to shake hands with the lion dance but that was not possible.

I had taken some photos and I will post here later. However I realized that a camera is really not suitable to capture the “dynamics” of the performance except if I am a pro but I am just an amateur photographer. I believe a video camera does a better job.

Anyway looking forward to Monday and things getting back to normal/routine.
