Getting Use To WP

Still spending time in getting to know and use Word Press (WP). Thus far what I encountered and experienced,I love WP.
In the beginning trying to figure out all the PHP mumbo jumbo got my head spinning but then I am getting use to it and realized that I don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Infact what I wanted to do, others had gone before me and solved the same WP problems. So all that’s needed is to know where to look for the solutions and the best place is WP support forums .
So with the help of the forum I managed to accomplished the following in the last few days.
- Setup my web email for emails addressed to me from this blog.
- Set-up my Contact page. This took me a while until I dicovered the plug-in call PXS Mail. It is a life and time saver, just download the PHP files, copy to the various directories , customize to your requirement and is up and running. You can get the files and intruction here at Phrixus.co.uk.
- Next I wanted to place Google Adsense in my blog and testing out the location on the sidebar. If you can still see the ” TEST LOCATION No4″ well that’s exactly where I wanted to place the ads. I did a few trys before getting the location I want.
As mentioned earlier, WP is easy to use and with the current version 1.5, it delivers a crisp and neat presentation.
