2nd Visit To The Doctor

Tag:No Tags

On the 31st October 2005, I paid a second visit to the doctor. It’s a different doctor because I wanted a second opinion about my condition. Right so there I was explaining again to the doctor and this time more precise about the dizzness which occurred when I lied down or wake up.

The doctor took my blood pressure reading and again it was there was a slight high blood pressure. He asked if I know my BMI ( Body Mass Index ) and I told him yes and it was 29. This is on the high side and he asked me to cut down to between 21 to 25. Right about my dizzness, he explained that this is probably due to my semi-circular cannals in my ears. These are responsible for keeping my balances and mine probably is “off tuned”. This can be due to fever, virus infection and he asked me if I had any of this. I told him none and he said not to worry as it will go away. Then he asked me to lie down on the examination bench and latter sit up, well there was the dizziness alright. He then asked me to lie down again with my head turned at 90 degress left and sit up again. There was the dizziness again. This was followed by repeating the second steps but this time I turned facing right. Through this he confirmed about the semi-circular cannals were acting up.

He advised me not ot worry and gave me some pills to control the dizziness and reminded me to reduce my weight and come for a monthly pressure check up. With that said , the consultation had come to an end and again I am rather relieved.

It has been a week now and with still taking the medication my condition has improved a lot. Sometime I forgot to take my medication but I do not suffer the dizziness. However I better finish the medication, this is the easy part. The difficult part is cutting down my weight. Any advise apprecaited.
