Upgraded To WordPress 1.5.2 “StrayHorn”
Upgraded my WordPress to version 1.5.2 “Strayhorn” today. This is more of a neccessity than a requirement. The need came as I was trying to install the “Sem-Subcribe-Me” plug-in. The one located in the side bar under the header Subscribe. Well in my previous WP version 1.5, there were repeated errors in installing this plug-in, thus after a few frustration rounds, I decided to upgrade my WP to 1.5.2, to see if this solve the problem.
Well it did! The problem is solved and I got the subscribe buttons beautifully displayed at the sidebar.
The upgrading process was very straight forward. You download the latest WP 1.5.2 , unzip it and upload the new files to your server. You need an FTP program to do that. Here is the link to the instruction if you need to upgrade.
As I say upgrading is easy and straight forward but make sure you do a backup of your files on the server side first. If you have a cpanel you can back up using the built in back up function. This is just incase and it happened to me because I accidently deleted my wp-config file, this is one file that you should not delete. Well I know that but somehow I still deleted it. Luckily I got it back from my back up.
Considering to upgrade, here is the link to get the latest version of WordPress. Just go here www.wordpress.org/download/. If you have any question about how to upgrade, just drop me a line at my contact page. I will be happy to answer them if I can.
